Sold as food, rescued by volunteers.
The photos were taken at the vet hospital, after the cats received some basic treatments.
3 rescuers went to the market in Conghua, a place in the suburb of Guangzhou city. The name of this market is Xingfu Animal Trading Market. It is imfamous for being the biggest market that trades in wildlifes in China.
A policeman who was kind, stopped a cat seller with these cats, without holding certificates.
One of these cats is deeply wounded in one of the eyes, and another in one of his legs. The vet will give the best treament in any possible way. They will be neutered too.
Now the cats are getting better though not completely recovered, and still waiting for adoption.

THEY LOOK SO SCARED hope they get lots of love
The only hope for the animals in -not only China but all Asian countries is- educating the children ,children have to be shown how to be kind to animals when they are small -if not they grow up like the majority of Asians with no empathy or compassion for -any animals ,the inhumane cruelty is beyond any comprehension of those who love and care for animals.
Valhalla I completely agree with you. – But we must try to help the Animals of today who are suffering horrendous deaths too. – We must shame their Government leaders into changing their laws on Animal cruelty. They have to realise that the world is aware of what they are doing concerning Animals – and holding those in High places responsible for allowing these horrendous actions. – We must sign & share as many petitions as possible.
Well done again Care For Chinese Animals. It isn’t only Asian countries where animals are mistreated, as many countries around the world show no regard for animals. Thank goodness for groups like CFCA who don’t let the magnitude of the problem put them off doing something about it; they set an example for others to follow and they change everything for those animals they rescue.
By the way, it says here that 2 cats were rescued, yet there are 4 different cats on these photos?
In the photos there are 2 cats. The photos were taken in different moments at the vet hospital
