Lanzhou City “Denial of fur, conservation of biological diversity” Environmental protection promoting activities】

“Denial of fur, conservation of biological diversity” environmental protection promoting activities held in Lanzhou little West Lake Park yesterday. More than 30 volunteers performed a rich and interactive variety show which attracted mass public participation.

“Denial of fur, conservation of biological diversity” environmental protection promoting activities held in Lanzhou little West Lake Park yesterday. More than 30 volunteers performed a rich and interactive variety show which attracted mass public participation.

During the activities, volunteers conducted on-site knowledge quiz, topic puzzle race and folding crane origami to send blessings. At the end of the activity all people joined together to take a precious group photo.

“Denial of fur, we are in action!” This slogan was called out loudly on the second floor platform of living quarters in Canton -American University City. In the site several activities carried on: Teaching people how to identify genuine and fake fur by imparting international identification method and avoid bloody consumption in our daily lives. And oaths and signature! Please share an spread wildly ～ hope each of us from 2013 onwards, can implement zero consumption of furs or zero careless consumption of furs. Take action!

ShiJiaZhuang One Meter • Love stray cat rescue team was founded in 2009, which is a nonprofit volunteer team. All the work is done by enthusiastic part-time people. One Meter • Love made every effort to avoid the image of stray animal shelters, but focused more time and energy in stray cats TNR groups care, family reunification and promoting education.
Since there are three large fur manufacturing bases in Hebei. Nearly half amount of furs supplies in China comes from Hebei. So “reject fur” is an essential theme of our work.
On April 24, 2011, we participated a demonstration of animals protection education. There were 9 teams of us in which farmers was the greatest highlight of this event, attracting most of the attention of the media. Farmers’ simple language and dedicated action made a breakthrough to spread the concept and idea of denial of furs and animal protection
In addition, One Meter • Love’s work mainly aimed at the major colleges and universities in ShiJiaZhuang. Different activities held in Hebei Normal University, Hebei University, School of Economics, etc. Activities focusing on topics training for college students have been successfully carried out.
